Put the Connector on the computer running TallyPrime
Windows or Mac. On first run it checks that PC for Tally every three seconds until it answers. If it can't reach Tally, the app walks you through the settings — or does it for you.

The first sync takes the longest — it brings across your full company, and nothing is shown to you until it is complete and consistent. After that, Auto Sync keeps it current on the interval you choose.

Arya writes only when you tell it to
Syncing is a read. The one thing Arya writes back is a voucher you filled in yourself and chose to post — and it shows you Tally's reply, including a rejection.
Tally stays the source of truth
Arya never becomes the place your books live. Your TallyPrime remains the original and the record — Arya is only how you read it when you're away from the office.

A role for each person
Owner, admin or member. Only an owner or admin can run a sync, change billing or remove the workspace — a member gets the views and nothing else.
Stop it whenever you like
Uninstall the Connector and no new data leaves your PC. Turn Auto Sync off and it stops on its own. Nothing syncs from a machine that isn't running the Connector.

Do I have to change how I use Tally?
No. Keep entering vouchers in TallyPrime exactly as you do today. Arya reads your existing company data — there is nothing new for your accounting team to learn.
Does Arya change anything in my books?
Syncing only reads. The one exception is deliberate: if you fill in a voucher on your phone and tap post, Arya sends that voucher to Tally and shows you Tally's reply. It never edits or deletes anything on its own.
Is my accounting data safe?
Your figures are visible only to the people you invite into your workspace, each signing in with their own verified email and holding a role you set. Everything that leaves your Tally PC travels over an encrypted connection. Arya doesn't change your books, and if you ever want it to stop, uninstalling the Connector ends it.
Does my Tally PC need to be on?
To sync, yes — the Connector reads Tally on that PC, so both need to be running and online. Between syncs your last synced figures stay available on your phone. Auto Sync runs on the interval you pick, and you can always trigger a sync by hand.
Can I look around before connecting Tally?
Yes. Pick the kind of business you run and the app loads a sample company so you can walk the dashboard, the modules and Ask Arya with realistic books. A banner across the top makes clear you're on sample data.
Can my accountant or CA use it too?
Yes. A workspace holds your companies and the people you invite, each with a role — owner, admin or member. Owners and admins can sync and manage billing; members get the views.
I run more than one company. Does that work?
Yes — keep several companies in one workspace and switch between them from the chip at the top of the app. Note that Arya shows one company at a time; there is no combined view across companies yet.
What about GST returns?
Arya reads GST as it sits in your books — the Duties & Taxes module, and a GST topic in Ask Arya. It does not file returns, and it does not reconcile against the GST portal.
How accurate are Ask Arya's answers?
Each answer is computed by the same audited report that powers the corresponding screen, and shows the table it came from — so a headline always survives its own drill-down. If Arya can't confidently match your question to a topic, it asks you to choose instead of guessing.
Which versions of Tally are supported?
