Terms of Use

1. The agreement, and who can enter it

Arya is a tool for running a business. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract, and if you use Arya for a business, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms on its behalf — "you" then means that business too. If you do not agree with these terms, do not use Arya.

2. What Arya is

Arya brings the books in your TallyPrime to your phone: a dashboard, analysis modules, financial statements, and an assistant that answers questions from your own figures. The Connector reads Tally on the computer where it runs; syncing happens on the interval you choose, or when you trigger it by hand — it is not a live feed. Syncing needs that computer on, Tally running and an internet connection; between syncs, your last synced figures stay available in the app. We keep improving Arya, so features may be added, changed or retired over time — see section 10.

3. Your account

• Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your email reachable — it is how we verify you and how we tell you important things.
• Keep your password to yourself. Anything done from your signed-in account is treated as done by you, so tell us straight away if you believe someone else has gotten in.
• One account signs you in to the Connector, the Arya app and this website, and the plan you buy belongs to the account you buy it with. Workspace members each sign in with their own verified email — don't share one login between people.

4. Your data, and what you let us do with it

Your books are yours. You give us only the limited permission needed to run the service: to host, process and display the data you sync or upload, for you and the people in your workspace. We claim no other rights in it, and we don't sell it.

In return, you confirm the data you connect is data you are entitled to use — it is your business's, or you are authorised to work with it (for example, you are the accountant and your client has agreed). You are responsible for what the people you invite into your workspace are allowed to see, and for the roles you give them.

5. Posting vouchers into Tally

Syncing only reads. The one exception is deliberate: when you fill in a voucher in Arya and tap post, Arya sends that voucher to your Tally and shows you Tally's reply, including a rejection. Review a voucher before you post it — entries posted from your account are yours, and whether an entry is accepted is decided by your Tally, not by us.

6. What Arya is not

• Arya is not accounting, tax, legal or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for your accountant or CA.
• Arya is not your book of record. Your TallyPrime remains the original; Arya shows you a synced view of it, which is only as current as your last sync and only as correct as the books it came from.
• GST figures in Arya are read from your books as they sit in Tally. Arya does not file returns and does not reconcile against the GST portal.
• Verify figures in your books before filing anything or making a significant decision on them.

7. Trial, subscription and payment

• Arya has one plan — Pocket CFO for Tally: a subscription that unlocks the whole app for up to 2 Tally companies and 1 owner + 2 members after a three-day free trial. You pay for it monthly, currently ₹999 a month plus GST, or yearly, currently ₹7,500 a year plus GST — the same app either way.
• A monthly plan can be moved to yearly from your account, or by writing to us.
• Cancel any time before the trial ends and you pay nothing. The current price and any taxes are always shown at checkout, and a price change never applies before your next renewal.
• Payments are taken by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record for the sale: your payment, invoice and card details go to Dodo, not to us, and we never see your full card details. That purchase is also covered by Dodo's Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy.
• If a renewal isn't paid, we may limit or suspend access to paid features until it is.
• Refunds. Write to info@aryaaccounts.com from the email on the account within 7 days of your payment and we will raise the refund for you. It goes back to the card or account you paid with. Because Dodo Payments is the merchant of record, the refund is finally Dodo's to issue under its Buyer Terms. After 7 days a payment is not refundable: you can still cancel, which stops the next renewal rather than refunding the month or year you are in.
• CA partner codes. If you use a partner code your Chartered Accountant gave you, your price stays the same. We pay that CA a share of what you pay, and they can see your plan's status and payments — never your figures. See the Privacy Policy.

8. The rules

Don't:

• use Arya for anything unlawful, or connect books you have no right to use;
• probe, overload or break the service's security, or try to reach another customer's data;
• copy, resell, rent out or white-label the service, or scrape it;
• reverse-engineer or modify the apps, or use jailbreaks, hacks or other tricks to get round their protections. We run systems that monitor for jailbreaking and hacking, and if we detect either, we will take the strongest action open to us: closing the account immediately, blocking the devices involved, reporting it to the police and CERT-In, and pursuing every civil and criminal remedy the law allows, including under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Copyright Act, 1957;
• upload anything malicious, or misrepresent who you are.

9. Ownership

The Arya apps, this website, and the Arya name and design belong to us and our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the apps to use the service while these terms are in force — nothing more is transferred. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them to improve Arya without owing you anything. Tally and TallyPrime are trademarks of Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd.; Arya is an independent product, not affiliated with Tally Solutions.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Arya available and dependable, but no online service can promise to be uninterrupted — maintenance, faults, and things outside our control (your PC, your Tally, your network) all exist. We may change Arya as we improve it; if we remove something material to a paid subscription, we will tell you beforehand.

We also reserve the right to suspend or discontinue the service, or any part of it, at any time, with or without notice to you, and we are not liable to you or to anyone else for doing so. Refunds are as set out in section 7 and nothing beyond that is owed.

11. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent the law allows, Arya is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. In particular, we do not warrant that figures shown in Arya are free of error: they depend on the books in your Tally, on your sync settings, and on your machine being on and connected. Nothing in this section takes away rights the law gives you that cannot be excluded.

Arya is an analytics tool. It reads your own books and presents them back to you. It does not give accounting, tax, audit, legal or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for your chartered accountant. Every decision you take and every return you file is yours: check a figure against your books in Tally before you act on it.

Parts of Arya use AI to turn a question into an answer. AI can misread a question, miss context and state an incorrect answer confidently. Treat an AI answer as a starting point to verify, never as assurance that a figure is right.

12. Limits on liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising out of the service — including any loss arising from a decision, a return or an action taken on the basis of any data, figure, analysis, report or AI answer shown or produced by Arya, whether that data came from your own books, from your Tally, from your sync or from us, and including lost profits, lost business and lost data that you could have backed up. Arya is an analytics platform: the figures and answers it shows come from your own books and may be incorrect, and judging whether to rely on them is yours.

If any part of that exclusion is held unenforceable, our total liability for everything arising out of the service in any year is capped at the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Neither side is liable to the other for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud.

13. Your responsibility to us

If a third party brings a claim against us because you broke these terms — most importantly, because you connected or shared data you had no right to use — you will cover the loss and reasonable costs that claim causes us.

14. Suspending and ending

You can stop at any time: uninstall the Connector and no new data leaves your PC, remove your workspace in the app, and write to us to delete your account entirely (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other customers or the service at risk — where practical, we will warn you first and say why. Sections that by their nature continue (4, 6, 9, 11–13, 15) survive the end of this agreement.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the Indian courts have jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, subject to any consumer-law rights that let you bring a claim where you live.

16. Changes to these terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and we will update the date at the top; for material changes we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Using Arya after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms — if you don't, stop using the service and we will part as friends.
